Cloudy this evening & tonight with outbreaks of rain spreading across the island overnight, perhaps falling as sleet or wet snow initially over the hills before turning increasingly back to rain. Lowest temperature near to 2°C in the strengthening southeast wind.
Tomorrow will be wet with persistent outbreaks of rain which will become heavy during the afternoon & evening. It will also be very windy with the southeast wind increasing to gale force during the day with gusts of 40-50 mph expected quite widely, but up to 55 mph possible in more exposed spots. Maximum temperature of 7°C. The rain will gradually clear overnight as the wind turns to the west or southwest and eases.
