Ramsey is anticipating large crowds for its firework display on bonfire night, Thursday, November 5.

There will be a traffic management plan in place to ease parking and avoid congestion and this will be well publicised nearer the time.

Deputy town clerk Steven Bevan said: ’As with last year, an "all you need to know" sheet will be shared online ahead of the event, which will give advice on parking, getting to the event early, what additional concessions will be available in the Mooragh Park and where the different facilities will be located.’

Disabled parking bays will be available near the Skatepark at the north end of the Mooragh Park.

Entertainment featuring lights and music will start at 6pm, with fireworks starting at 7.30pm. In the event of poor weather, the event will be staged the following evening.

Board member Ffinlo Williams said people should be encouraged to come to Ramsey early and park away from the Mooragh - perhaps going into town to have something to eat first.
