The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for heavy rain and localised flooding.
The forecast:
Dull with spells of heavy rain, with significant areas of standing water and some localised flooding.
The rain become lighter and more intermittent by late morning but rain will continue at times throughout the day.
Strong east or southeast winds will turn to the southwest and ease during the morning before settling to a strong northwesterly by evening. Temperatures up to 17 Celsius.
Fine for much of Wednesday with light winds, but rain is expected again Wednesday night and at times on Thursday.
