The Met Office has issued another yellow weather warning for heavy rain.
The forecast:
Patchy rain and drizzle will become more persistent again this morning and turn heavy at times, particularly this afternoon as colder air starts to move in and the rain turns to sleet or snow over the hills, with sleet also possible at lower levels. The light to moderate north to northeast wind will turn to the northwest with highs of 6°C.
The rain, sleet and snow will gradually clear away this evening, allowing some clear spells to develop and isolated wintry showers. The wind will back to the west and become strong overnight with minimum temperature near to 2°C for most places but close to freezing over the hills.
Wintry showers will affect the island at times tomorrow, falling as sleet or snow over the hills and a mix of rain, hail or sleet at lower levels. A blustery day with a strong west to northwest wind, making it feel very cold with temperatures only reaching up to 5°C at best.
Friday will be mostly dry and bright with sunny intervals, but breezy with a fresh to strong westerly wind. Another cold day with highest temperature around 5°C.
