The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping.
Waves are likely hit Shore Road, Rushen. Castletown Promenade and the northern end of Douglas Promenade and the northern end of Laxey Promenade.
The forecast:
Bright with some sunny spells this morning, but becoming increasingly cloudy with a spell of rain arriving early this afternoon, turning heavy for a time. Top temperature around 18°C. Still quite windy with a fresh to strong southwest wind, and a further risk of some minor coastal overtopping, mainly for Shore Road Rushen, Castletown Promenade and the northern end of Douglas Promenade (~2:30pm).
The rain will clear early this evening as the wind turns to the west and eases. Thereafter much of the night will be dry, before showers start to develop around dawn tomorrow morning. Minimum temperature near to 11°C.
Tomorrow will be cloudy with the showers at first expected to merge into some longer spells of rain, before turning more showery once more later in the day. A light to moderate west to north-westerly breeze with highs of 17°C.
Monday will be rather cloudy, with the threat of a little light rain or drizzle at times. Temperatures reaching up to 18°C at best, in the light and variable breeze which will gradually settle to the south or southeast. Rain will then arrive later Monday night, as the southeast wind starts to freshen.
