The weather forecast from the Met Office:

Early drizzle then becoming mainly dry but still cloudy with hill fog and a freshening southwest wind. Temperatures rising to 9°C. Then persistent rain arriving this evening, heavy at times, and with a strong to gale force southerly wind until later in the night.

Wednesday will be mostly wet, the rain often heavy. The wind will increase strong to gale force from the south during the afternoon with gusts of 50 mph, then 55-60 mph at night. Top temperature around 10°C.

Thursday will see bright or sunny spells and scattered showers carried on a strong westerly wind.
