Dry at first today, but cloudy thickening into the afternoon with rain arriving towards dusk, turning persistent and often heavy this evening and overnight. The fresh to strong westerly wind will turn to the southwest and moderate, with highs of 7 or possibly 8°C.

Periods of rain continuing through Tuesday, turning heavy at times, leading to the risk of localised flooding on some roads. A light mainly east or northeast wind with top temperature around 6°C.

Cloudy with further periods of rain on Wednesday, but with sleet or snow over the hills and possibly some sleet at lower levels, gradually clearing to wintry showers later in the night. The light northerly wind will become a strong north-westerly later, with maximum temperature around 6°C.
