Dry and fairly bright today with some sunshine, especially this morning, but a freshening southwest wind will bring increasing cloud ahead of rain later this evening and tonight. Top temperature 7 Celsius.
The rain will be followed by scattered showers overnight with clear intervals and a strong west wind. Temperatures falling to 2 or 3°C, but near freezing on the hills later in the night with some icy patches.
Sunny intervals tomorrow but also a few showers, wintry over high ground. Temperatures only about 5 Celsius at best, and feeling even colder in the strong westerly.
Cold on Thursday with a strong to gale force wind from the northwest, isolated passing showers and sunny intervals. Highs of only 6°C.
