The weather forecast from the Met Office:
Rain will continue this morning creating some standing water on the roads, before starting to clear early this afternoon, allowing some bright or perhaps sunny spells to break through and end the day. Windy with a strong east to southeast wind which will ease briefly this afternoon. Top temperature around 8 or possibly 9°C.
Dry this evening, but turning cloudy overnight with outbreaks of rain returning towards dawn tomorrow morning. A fresh to strong easterly wind and minimum temperature near to 5°C.
Tomorrow will be cloudy with further spells of rain at times. Highest temperature around 8°C in the fresh to strong easterly wind. The rain will then clear later in the evening, leaving a cold end to the night.
Saturday will be mainly dry and bright with some sunny spells, although a few sleet or snow showers are possible overnight into Sunday. Temperatures only reaching up to 5°C at best, and feeling much colder in the strong to gale force easterly wind.
