The forecast from the Met Office:
Starting dry today, but outbreaks of rain will then spread in from the west around late morning or early afternoon, with the rain then continuing for the rest of the day. Breezy, with fresh to strong southeast winds, the maximum temperature 8 Celsius.
Tonight the winds will ease a little, with the rain petering out towards dawn. Then the day tomorrow will be dry, possibly with a few bright or sunny intervals, but the southerly winds will gradually strengthen, and then heavy rain will move in for a time overnight as winds become gale force.
Much colder next week with very strong westerly winds and some wintry showers.
