The Steam Packet is warning that its services are likely to be disrupted because of windy weather.

Today’s 4pm Douglas to Liverpool sailing is going to leave an hour earlier.

The 8pm return is to leave at 7.15pm.

Tonight’s Douglas to Heysham 7.45 sailing is subject to possible disruption/cancellation.

A final decision will be made by the master by 5.30pm

That will have a knock-on effect on tomorrow’s scheduled 2.15am Heysham to Douglas service.

The Steam Packet says that Thursday’s Douglas to Liverpool 7.30am sailing is also subject to disruption/cancellation. The scheduled 11.15am return sailing would obviously be affected too.

But the Douglas to Heysham 8.45am service will leave as scheduled.

The Met Office says: ’The south to southwest wind will gradually increase reaching gale force this evening with gusts of 50 to 55 mph possible in places overnight.’
