Fresh warning for coastal overtopping to come while cleanup from Storm Bram continuesIt has also issued a yellow alert for coastal overtopping today as stormy weather hits the island.
The forecast:
Another very cold day, generally cloudy but dry. Temperatures only reaching 3 Celsius, but feeling more like minus 8 in the strong to gale force southeast wind. Coastal overtopping is expected once more around the times of high tides (midday and midnight).
Cloudy on Saturday with snow from early afternoon, accumulations of 2 to 5 centimetres but up to 10 cm over the hills with significant drifting because of the strong to gale force southeast wind. Temperatures only 2 or 3 Celsius, still with coastal overtopping.
Becoming mostly dry on Saturday evening, then slightly less cold on Sunday but with spells of rain or sleet but more snow over the hills.
