The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping.
The forecast:
Dry and largely cloudy to start, then outbreaks of rain late morning, becoming heaver and more persistent this afternoon and evening. This will be accompanied by a strong southerly wind that will lead to some coastal overtopping in exposed locations around the time of high tide (~1:45pm). Maximum temperature 13°C.
Into tomorrow, mainly cloudy and dry to start, then outbreaks of rain later in the morning and afternoon. Strong to gale force south or southeast wind developing and a top temperature of 14°C.
On Wednesday, cloudy with further outbreaks of rain for much of the day. Moderate to fresh south-southwest wind and a highest temperature of 14°C.
