Four Steam Packet sailings cancelled as Storm Bram brings gale force windsThe Met Office forecast for Wednesday: ‘Continuing quite windy this morning, the strong to gale force west or northwest winds giving gusts of 45 to 50 mph in places.
‘Otherwise it will be bright with sunny intervals and scattered showers, the showers then dying out during the afternoon as the winds ease, these becoming fresh in many places by early evening.
‘Maximum temperature 9 Celsius, then later in the evening some patchy rain will develop.
‘Tonight will see outbreaks of rain and strong west or southwest winds, but tomorrow any remaining rain will soon clear away to leave sunny spells and only isolated showers.
‘It will remain breezy with strong westerly winds, although these will ease temporarily late in the day.’
