Strong winds will ease late morning before returning in the evening.

The Met Office forecast for Monday: ‘Isolated wintry showers quickly clearing this morning allowing a dry rest of the day with sunny spells.

‘Strong to gale force westerly winds decreasing late morning. Maximum temperature 9°C.

‘Through the evening rain arriving, heavy at times. This accompanied with gale or severe gale force southwesterly winds, easing towards the end of the night.

‘Minimum temperature 4°C.’
