Manx Utilities has begun work on the laying of a new water main and sewers on Peel’s East Quay.
The pipe-laying work will continue into the new year and result in the route being closed to through-traffic.
Pedestrians will be able to walk through the work area and there will be space at each end of it for cars to turn. The quayside will be accessible for marine operations.
MU chairman Tim Baker MHK said: ’We have been working closely with all of the businesses along the route to minimise the impact of the works in addition to contacting commissioners and MHKs to plan the activity.’
