Europe’s biggest touring wrestling show is set to provide the Manx public with plenty of live action over Easter.
Megaslam Wrestling is heading to the Villa Marina in Douglas for the fifth time and with it will be a variety of performers, including WWE superstar Ligero from Leeds.
Established in 2009, Megaslam Wrestling hosts more than 300 live events a year around the UK and the Isle of Man. Organisers say it will provide an ’incredible, all-action event’ on April 15.
A Megaslam spokesman said the tour is the biggest they have ever presented.
’We have the amazing Kieran Kelly, the current Megaslam champion from Glasgow who wows crowds with his death defying moves,’ he said.
’For Team Megaslam we have current WWE superstar Ligero in his only appearance and Nottingham’s real life Action Man Stixx - a muscle-bound giant of the ring.
’Opposing them will be heavyweight king Mickey Barnes who stands at 6ft 4ins and weighs more than 20 stone, Robbie Mckenzie, a diminutive but sneaky character from south Yorkshire and various others from around the world.
’We also have top female wrestlers, Angel Hayze and Rosie Nyte ready to wow younger female fans and also travelling stars from across the world.
’There’s all this and so much more - it’s a true experience for the whole family.
’It’s a different event every time we visit the Isle of Man, but the drama continues show to show. This will be our fifth time in Douglas.
’The fans are always up for it and this year we are bringing them a show that is unique in that it will feature one of the hottest properties in the world of wrestling, a current WWE star.’
Audiences will see the Heavyweight Challenge, Tag Team Thriller and a Main Event Championship Match for the Megaslam Championship.
Fans will be invited to meet their favourite stars and have photographs taken.
Tickets, which cost £17 for adults, are available online at www.villagaiety.com
