The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping.
Boxing Day’s forecast:
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain this morning, which will turn lighter and patchier during the afternoon before another band of rain passes through overnight. Strong southeast winds will ease during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 Celsius.
Remaining unsettled on Friday with rain at first, this clearing later in the morning to leave the afternoon mostly dry but cloudy. Mild, the highest temperature 11 or 12 Celsius, with moderate southerly winds.
Mostly dry but rather cloudy for Saturday, with the best of any brightness limited to northern parts of the island. Quite windy with a strong southerly wind and highs of 11°C.
