The Met Office has this evening issued a yellow weather forecast for frost and ice.
The weather forecast:
Some clear skies around for the rest of today and tonight with any isolated, wintry showers moving through quickly on strong west to south-westerly wind. Minimum temperatures falling generally near to 3°C, but close to freezing over the hills.
Dry at first tomorrow, but with cloud thickening during the morning to bring a spell of rain for a time around midday before turning more patchy and light for the afternoon. Still quite windy with a strong westerly wind which will back to the southwest, with highs of 8°C.
Thursday will be cloudy with some outbreaks of rain at times. Temperatures reaching about 9°C at best, in a fresh to strong south-westerly wind.
