A football pitch in the south of the island is the latest to be targeted by vandals.

Malew AFC, based at Clagh Vane in Ballasalla, has announced its pitch has been driven over, leaving tyre tracks.

This is the third incident targeting a football club this week with Ramsey AFC suffering similar damage to its pitch.

Onchan FC’s Nivison Stadium was broken into where vandals broke windows and doors, graffiti sprayed onto the wall, poured milk on equipment.

And in an even more senseless move, stole the club’s defibrillator.

Anyone with information relating to any of the incidents should contact police on 631212 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
