There may be the sight of Vikings dancing up a storm in the west of the island next weekend.

Two nights of free family ceilis take place at the Masonic Hall, Peel on Friday, July 19, and Saturday July 20, from 7pm, as part of the Yn Chruinnaght Celtic Gathering festival.

The Tarroo Marroo ceili band will provide the music on Friday, and on Saturday there is the chance to come dressed as a Viking and dance along to the Cornish group the Daveys and Breton duo Lors Landat and Thomas Moisson.
