Swimming pools across the island are reopening.
The NSC training pool and the northern and southern swimming pools reopen on Monday next week (June 29).
The western pool reopens for public swim sessions on Friday (June 26).
The NSC said: ’We look forward to seeing you all in the centre soon and we’ll have more information about our swim programme and swimming lessons soon.’
The northern pool, in Ramsey, said: ’The facility is currently undergoing a major lighting project to improve the bather experience and reduce the carbon footprint.
’At the same time we are carrying out remedial works throughout whilst ensuring all health and safety standards are met for reopening.’
Its timetable is available online.
The southern pool, in Castletown, said: ’We are now finishing work on building presentation and completing training for our lifeguard team following on from reinstatement of pool plant facilities and water testing.
’We will have our new summer timetable ready to launch in the coming days.’
The western pool will be open 7am to 3pm on Friday, and 10am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday.
A full programme will start from Monday.
Swimming pool staff were redeployed during the Covid-19 outbreak to work in posts including nursing homes and amenity sites.
