Amelia Sharpe (Team RL360) produced another great ride to finish fourth in the under-16 girls’ pursuit final at the British National Youth Track Championships in Newport.

The final was won by Elynor Backstedt (Team Backstedt - Hot Chillee) from Ella Barnwell (Towy RCC).

Fourth place in the qualifying round earned Amelia the chance to race against Zoe Backstedt (Maindy Flyers) in the ride-off for the bronze medal, which the more experienced Welsh girl won by five seconds.

This followed on from Amelia’s superb bronze medal-winning performance in the points race.

l Meanwhile, RL360 team-mates Tosh Teare and Adam Scarffe represented the North West Region in the Prudential Ride London under-16 boys’ Youth Grand Prix in the Lea Valley Velopark.

The race ended in a bunch sprint with Tosh and Adam crossing the line in 24th and 31st places respectively.
