Suntera Global Ballasalla Bravo 26, Browne Craine Toomraiders19

Browne Craine Toomraiders began this game at pace, moving the ball well into the shooting circle.

Reliable shooting from Alex Cashin combined with numerous missed shots from Suntera Ballasalla Bravos meant that Toomraiders were able to pull away to a 7-3 lead at quarter-time.

In the second period, with Zoe Shimmin picking up almost every rebound, there was pressure on the Suntera shooting duo of Rachel Hopkinson and Ashley Hall to nail their shots first time and they began to rise to the challenge.

Ellie Looney worked hard to play Toomraiders down to goal and at half-time they were managing to maintain a three-goal lead.

The beginning of the second half saw some fierce defending from Ballasalla Bravo which created plenty of opportunities for their attack. With Emily Ashe and Niamh Skillicorn now feeding the circle comfortably, Suntera were able to capitalise and took the third quarter 9-2.

Neither team decreased their efforts in the final quarter but the Suntera defence worked tirelessly to see the game out and in the end they won 26-19, with player of the match going to Ashleigh Cowin who picked up numerous interceptions for Suntera.
