Isle of Man Badminton Association’s annual business tournament is taking place on Saturday, September 8 at the NSC.
The tournament, which is kindly sponsored by Utmost Wealth Solutions, is open to all businesses around the island and is an opportunity for anyone wanting to try the sport.
Badminton development officer Kerry Quayle said: ’It’s fantastic to have Utmost Wealth Solutions involved in sponsoring the event this year.
’The tournament is a great opportunity for businesses to come and enjoy an afternoon of badminton as well as fun team building.’
Utmost’s Sophie Barraclough added: ’As part of our ongoing support for the community, we were delighted to be given the opportunity to support the badminton association.
’We have some keen badminton players in the office, so it is great to support a sport that is enjoyed by our staff and the wider community.’
Teams, which cost £50 per entry, need a minimum of two males and two females. Equipment will be provided.
If players would like an opportunity to practice, the IoMBA is also running Summer No Strings sessions on Saturdays between 9 and 11am at NSC Secondary hall.
