The baton relay for the Birmingham 2022 Commonweath Games will visit the Isle of Man next summer.

The 16th official Queen’s Baton Relay will begin today (October 7) and will last for 269 days.

It is scheduled to begin its journey in Cyprus, spending Christmas Eve in the Seychelles, new year in the Maldives and Easter in Jamaica.

The route includes all 72 nations and territories of the Commonwealth, covering about 90,000 miles.

It will be in the Isle of Man in the beginning of June.
