Baker Tilly Isle of Man Cronkbourne will be crowned league champions on Saturday as they complete their weekend fixtures.

The Tromode outfit are deserving champions winning all their matches apart from one when the weather beat them.

They finish their league matches at home to Hannan Law Crosby this weekend.

These two sides will soon be sick of the sight of each other because they contest the Blincoe and Tinker Cup finals in successive weekends.

Cronkbourne have had the upper hand all season and I can see no reason for that to change this Saturday.

I would imagine that Crosby will keep their powder dry and go for it when the finals come around.

Shimmin Wilson Peel and St John’s play Valkyres at Mullen-e-Cloie on Saturday.

PSJ have struggled to put out the same side every game this season, but their captain Nick White must have been encouraged with the number of regular players who turned up last week.

The edge has gone off Valkyres’ game in the past couple of matches and they will need to improve to trouble PSJ.

Ramsey Crookall Finch Hill and CTH Insurance Ramsey meet at the neutral ground of KWC.

Finch Hill are top of the weekend league’s second tier and they will claim that title if they win on Saturday.

The management of the club took a leap of faith to play weekend cricket this season and they must feel justified by their decision.

Their young team should win against Ramsey who are also in the process of rebuilding.

The weekend’s final game on Sunday sees the Callin Wild Development XI face Newfield Castletown.

The decision to shift the Development games to the Sunday has helped their team selection immensely and given the young players the chance to play cricket on Saturdays and Sundays.

Town are also in the rebuild phase this season, but they do have players in form, so it could be another interesting game.
