Hannan Law Crosby will be at home on Saturday as they take on Baker Tilly Isle of Man Cronkbourne in cricket’s Premiership.
Previous games this season have left Crosby trailing a distant second but a recent T20 victory against the men from Tromode may just give the Marown side a psychological lift.
Cronkbourne are riding high this season with Max Stokoe in good form with bat and ball. Their young bowlers have been giving good back up and this may prove a decisive factor in what I hope will be a close contest.
Valkyres welcome Shimmin Wilson Peel and St John’s to Tromode on Saturday.
These two teams have only met once this season and Valkyres came out the winners. On that day it wasn’t a full PSJ side but Valkyres deserved their victory nonetheless . Valkyres will hope to have most of their players available but PSJ seem to be struggling to get a regular side out this summer. This could be the key to the game.
Ramsey Crookall Finch Hill welcome CTH Insurance Ramsey to Ballafletcher on Saturday.
Ramsey gained a valuable win last time these two sides met. Eddie Beard and George Burrows should be available for the Finches. Burrows hasn’t sparkled since he returned from his sojourn in Derbyshire, but he may have picked up confidence from his participation in the Pro-Am match on Sunday.
Ramsey will have to play well again, or the game will go Finch Hill’s way.
Sunday will see the two Blincoe Cup semi-finals between Cronkbourne and Castletown and Crosby and Finch Hill.

l The island under-14 team have been playing at Bromsgrove this week, while the u10s and u12s played in the Malvern festival last week.
The u10s lost their first game against Huntingdonshire but they performed a lot better the next day against the same side and they won by eight wickets.
The Manx then faced Carmarthenshire but, despite Lucy Barnett adding 55 to her 30 from the previous game and a three-wicket haul for Harry Deering, the opposition were able to overhaul their score of 138 in the 35th over.
The u12ss took on three county sides - Worcestershire, Pembrokeshire and Cheshire.
They were victorious in all the matches. Notable performances included 53 from Dollin Jansen, 47 from Joe Humphrey and a fifer from Jansen when he took five for 10 against Cheshire.
Nathan Brew chipped in with a 53 not out and Nathan Williams three wickets as they beat Buckinghamshire.
A full report about the u14s matches will follow next week.
