Cal Crutchlow finished an excellent second place in the Japanese Grand Prix at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit over the weekend.
The Ramsey resident was in strong form all weekend and only narrowly missed out on starting from the front row after a late mistake in qualifying denied him a possible starting position on pole.
As it was though, the LCR Honda star put that mistake behind him by producing an impressive performance on his team’s home circuit, crossing the line in second place.
Marc Marquez successfully clinched his third MotoGP title in a row - and fifth overall - when nearest rival Andrea Dovizioso slid off on the penultimate lap. Suzuki’s Alex Rins completed the podium behind Crutchlow.
The Isle of Man resident in now fifth in the overall standings.
