Daniel McCanney and David Knight both got off to very good starts in the FIM Maxxis World Enduro Championship in Dahlen, Germany at the weekend.

Riding for the Italian TM factory, McCanney finished fourth in the GP class of Friday evening’s super test in front of 2,500 spectators.

On Saturday, he won a couple of tests en route to finishing runner-up in both E3 and the GP class behind Beta’s Steve Holcombe. Brad Freeman made it an all-British podium in the Enduro GP class.

Another single test win on Sunday secured Danny another second place behind Holcombe in E3, but Freeman edged him down to third in Enduro GP.

Also riding a TM, Knight made a welcome return to the world championship after an absence of several years to score a double win in the new senior category for over 37 year olds.
