Lee Johnston landed his second Classic TT win late on Saturday afternoon as he came home first in the Dunlop Lightweight race.
Johnston would finish half a minute ahead of Adam McLean, the latter having led during the early stages of the four-lap contest as his rival got caught up behind a first-lap incident involving Dan Sayle near Ballspur.Organisers have said the Sulby man and regular TT sidecar competitor is in a serious but stable condition.
Grabbing a sixth Classic TT podium, Ian Lougher showed their was life in the old dog yet as he finished third on the corrected time charts, 43 seconds down on young gun McLean.
Dean Harrison and Joey Thompson completed the top five that finished well ahead of the rest.
Talking about his 250cc Padgett’s Honda Johnston said: ’This little bike is an absolute weapon. I really enjoyed that.’
