The football fixtures computer has thrown up something of a mixed bag of games in JCK Division Two this weekend.

Arguably the game of the day takes place in the northwest of the island where Michael United host Ayre United in a derby of sorts.

The hosts signed ex-St George’s duo Calum Morrissey and Ciaran McNulty over the summer, while the Tangerines snapped up the likes of Shaun Kelly and Matty Skillicorn, therefore there will hopefully be some significant talent on display at Balleira Road in what should be a interesting clash.

Early leaders St John’s face a stern test of their credentials when they make the short journey to Billy Goat Park for a derby clash with a Foxdale side that smashed 10 goals past Malew last time out without reply.

The latter side will be hoping to bounce back from that heavy defeat but face a tough trip north to take on RYCOB at Scoill ree Gorree, with the hosts also aiming to get back to winning ways after losing at Braddan.

Buoyed by that win, the Swans will be confident of claiming another three points when they visit Douglas and District for yet another derby contest at Noble’s Park.

Not quite a derby but expected to be a close contest is the clash between Gymns and Governor’s Athletic which pits the two point-less teams in the division against each other.

The final game should also be an interesting affair as top four/promotion hopefuls Union Mills and Onchan lock horns at Garey Mooar.
