There’s a full programme of fixtures in JCK Division Two this weekend, providing the island’s pitches survive the recent stormy weather.

At the time of going to press, six games are scheduled to take place in the second division, the highlight of which is arguably in the north of the island where Ayre United host Braddan.

Both sides had been tipped to feature in the upper echelons of the table this season and their opening few results have done little to dissuade that notion.

Braddan currently lie second on 10 points and are unbeaten, while Ayre are fifth on six points but with a game in hand, so there’s quite a lot at stake this weekend and this should be a close game in Andreas.

Leaders Foxdale will start as favourites to get the better of Onchan at Billy Goat Park but the Os returned to winning ways against Gymns last time out so will be hoping to emulate their 5-3 win over the Dale last season.

With third-placed Union Mills not playing, St John’s could move into the top three provided they get the better of tricky customers Douglas and District at Noble’s Park, while RYCOB will be expected to make light work of Governor’s Athletic at Scoill ree Gorree.

An interesting game could unfold at Balleira Road where Michael United will fancy their chances of claiming their first win of the season when they host Malew, but the latter claimed a good point against D&D last time out. Elsewhere, Colby will be expected to bounce back to defeat by Mills when they take on Gymns in Tromode.
