Chris Bass Sr has been officially named as the first manager of FC Isle of Man.
After weeks of speculation, the announcement was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon and will see the St George’s boss guide the Manx team in its debut campaign in the North West Counties Football League.
The 59-year-old’s managerial credentials are second to none in the local game, having guided Geordies to a record three Grand Slam during a trophy-laden career at the Glencrutchery Road club.
Reaction from Bass and FC Isle of Man in this week’s Manx Independent, on sale Thursday morning.
