Despite a reduced fixture list this weekend, the big games continue to come thick and fast in JCK Division Two on Saturday afternoon.

The two standout ties see third-placed Onchan travel to Billy Goat Park to face Foxdale, while Ayre United welcome St John’s to the Andreas Playing Fields. With leaders Union Mills not in action, Onchan and Ayre know that they could go top if they gain any points this weekend and results go their way.

The Tangerines lie second but, like the Os, are locked on 24 points with Mills. Ayre have been in ruthless free-scoring form of late - netting 20 goals in their last three games - and therefore will start as favourites to get the better of St John’s.

But the Saints have been in excellent form themselves recently, going unbeaten in their last six games to keep right in the mix at the top, so this one could be close.

Should Ayre slip-up, Onchan could go top if they beat a Foxdale side still smarting from a heavy 6-1 loss to the Tangerines last time out. The Os have been once of the season surprise packages and will fancy their chances of winning this, but Foxdale will be desperate to bounce back in this one.

Elsewhere, Colby could move back into the top four if they defeat Michael United a Balleira Road. With the westerners finding their feet and holding RYCOB to a draw last time out, this may be closer than some expect.

Youthie will be hoping to return to winning ways after that draw when they welcome Gymns to Scoill ree Goree, a game they will be expected to win.
