The bun fight at the top of JCK Division Two should come to a rip-roaring conclusion on Saturday afternoon.

As it stands three teams could join Castletown in the Canada Life Premier League next season.

Town were guaranteed a place in the top two at the weekend when Foxdale could only draw with RYCOB.

Gary Sansbury’s Stadium outfit can ensure they return to the top flight as champions if they beat Marown on Saturday.

The Crosby side are the only team that can overhaul Town at the head of the second-tier standings.

That is, though, if Marown win at the weekend and defeat Onchan and Governor’s Athletic in their remaining two games.

Marown require six points from their final three league fixtures to pip Foxdale to the division’s second promotion spot.

This weekend’s game could go either way with both sides having claimed a win apiece in the sides’ two meetings thus far this campaign.

Third-placed Pulrose United, who round off their campaign at Michael United on Saturday, are waiting in the wings to pounce should Foxdale and Marown both lose their remaining games.

Pully will be favourites to claim all three points against a Michael side that has lost 14-1 and 8-0 in the last few days.

The afternoon’s other second-tier game takes place at Foxdale where Douglas and District are the visitors to Billy Goat Park.

Dale need to win to keep the pressure up on Marown and keep their promotion hopes alive.

D and D will be keen to finish their season on a high, but have only won one of their last nine.

The Noble’s Park outfit could yet have a say in the destination of this season’s Silver Boot.

Dale striker Jay Chatwood currently heads the division’s goalscoring charts with 41 goals to his name ahead of Saturday’s game.

Union Mills striker Luke Booth trails his rival by five ahead of the Millers’ final game of the season, against Douglas and District, next Tuesday evening.

Five may seem a lot to make up but Booth hit seven against Governor’s Athletic earlier this month.
