There’s no doubting the standout game in JCK Division Two this weekend as the top two sides are set to battle it out.

The game in question sees league leaders Castletown play host to a Pulrose United side which lies one place and three points behind but crucially with a game in hand.

No senior side in Manx football currently boasts a better run of form than Town who have now won their last 10 successive games in all competitions - the next best is by Peel who have won seven on the bounce.

That record will certainly be put to the test this weekend though, with Pully hoping to reclaim top spot in the division as they aim to return to the top table of Manx football.

Another good game could be on the cards at Garey Mooar where Union Mills host a resurgent RYCOB.

The northerners were tipped by many to win the title but suffered a run of bad form, before bouncing back in recent weeks.

Therefore, Youthie will start as favourites to get the better of an inconsistent Mills side and close the gap at the top.

Should Mills lose, Dougglas and District could leapfrog them up to eighth in the table if the Noble’s Park outfit prove too strong for bottom side Gymns.

D&D have enjoyed a good season so far, spearheaded by the good form of Daniel Stewart-Clague who has bagged 15 leagues goals already - the joint fourth highest in the division.

A win in this game would keep the Douglas side on course to surpass their previous best seasonal tally of 25 points in 2012-13.

Third-placed Onchan will be expected to claim three points from their short trip to neighbours Governor’s Athletic. With the top two facing off in Castletown, a win for Onchan would keep them right in the mix for the title.

Malew will also be odds on to get maximum points this weekend as they host lowly Michael United at Clagh Vane and go into the match on the back of a good performance against Onchan last week.

Having stunned Pulrose last time out, Marown will begin the day as favourites to claim all three points at home to Ayre United and in doing so complete a double over the Tangerines having won the reverse fixture 3-0.
