Corinthians and Peel will contest the 17th Nedbank-sponsored Women’s FA Cup final at the Bowl on Sunday afternoon.

These two teams have met in three out of the last four FA Cup finals, the winning side triumphing 3-2 on each occasion.

Corinthians have won this competition five times, their Ballafletcher neighbours Douglas Royal winning it a record seven times.

Victory for the Whites, however, will see them overtake Royal and become the most successful Manx women’s football team to date.

Peel have reached the final five times, but have only won this trophy once, which was ironically against Corinthians during the 2015-16 season.

That is the only time Corinthians has been beaten in regulation time during any cup final.

Kick off for what should be another interesting chapter in the competition’s history is 2.45pm.
