The Isle of Man Football Association has confirmed that playoff matches to determine who is promoted to the Premier League should take place in early August.

A rules revision meeting and special general meeting took place at the IoMFA headquarters on Tuesday evening which confirmed the following:

- There will be no ECAP FA Cup competition brought forward from the 2019-20 season;

- Letters from Castletown and Pulrose United requesting relegation to JCK Division Two for the 2020-21 season were agreed;

- A playoff to replace Castletown and Pulrose United is to take place, with six of the top eight clubs agreeing to take part. These will hopefully take place on Saturdays, August 1 and 8;

- There will be no GH Corlett Woods Cup competition brought forward from the 2019-20 season due to the above playoff matches being played;

- The start date for competitive matches is still to be confirmed by The FA’s Grassroots Football Division. The IoMFA has requested an August 1 start date to enable the second division playoffs to take place;

- In principle, the new league season will commence on Saturday, August 15 subject to The FA’s approval.
