The latest Isle of Man Newspapers Team of the Week is a ECAP FA Cup special.
Those that impressed in Saturday’s four quarter-final ties provide the fodder for the latest hypothetical XI.
All of the Premier League’s ’big guns’ successfully made their way through to the competition’s last four.
Corinthians negotiated their way through a tricky trip to Division Two Colby, by claiming a 1-3 victory at the Station Fields.
Two of the Whites’ line-up make it into the TotW.
Midfielder Danny Gerrard capped a good all-round performance by bagging a goal in the victory over the Moonlighters.
Tom Callister continued his return from long-term injury with a tough-tackling display in the Ballafletcher outfit’s defensive ranks as his side teed up a semi-final tie with St Mary’s.
The Saints secured their place in that match with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Peel.
Matty Kent-Lloyd’s second-half strike kept the Premier League leaders’ Grand Slam hopes in tact, but it is team-mates Sam Holliday and Jack McVey that make it into the TotW.
Goalkeeper Holliday produced a sprawling save to deny Matt Woods’s late free-kick and help secure his side’s passage into the next round.
McVey covered for the absent Karl Clark by slotting into the back four alongside player-coach Alex Harrison and producing a dominant display as his side kept a clean sheet.
One of opponents’ Peel’s talented youngsters, Charlie Higgins, also makes it into the TotW after a promising display on the left flank for the westerners.
In the other semi, St George’s will entertain Rushen United.
Geordies recorded a big 10-0 win over Ramsey, with Calum Morrissey claiming the man of the match honours and a brace in the victory over their fellow top-flight side.
Morrissey is joined in the TotW by club-mates Chris Bass Jr and Johnny Myers.
Both got on the scoresheet in the rout at Glencrutchery Road, defender Myers also helping his side to keep a clean sheet in the process.
Rushen trio Adam Cooil, Aaron Hawley and Mike Williams complete the XI.
Cooil added another solid showing to his collection as the Spaniards beat his former club Douglas Royal 4-0 at fortress Croit Lowey.
Hawley celebrated his return to the first team with a goal joining Williams on the scoresheet for Liam Cowin’s side.
Referee of the Week is James Turpin after he shone with the whistle as St George’s beat Ramsey.
