Chris Bass Sr has named his first squad for FC Isle of Man’s inaugural match against Guernsey FC this weekend.

The newly-formed Ravens, who will play in the North West Counties Football League from next season, take on the Channel Islanders at the Bowl on Saturday evening, kicking off at 6.30pm.

Bass Sr has selected a 23-man matchday squad featuring a good blend of youth and experience.

Dean Kearns and Glenn Walker will vie for the number one goalkeeper’s jersey, while the defence is made up of Sam Caine, Adam Cooil, Jacob Crook, Chris Cannell, Sean Quaye, Ryan Burns, Alex Maitland and Tom Wood.

The eight-strong midfield is comprised of Chris Bass Jr, Dan Simpson, Alex Holden, Stephen Whitley, Jack McVey, Frank Jones, Joey Quayle and Jack Camarda, while Ash Higginbotham, Ciaran McNulty, Luke Murray, Jamie Johnston and Sean Doyle will battle it out to start up front for the Ravens.
