Nearly half of the latest Isle of Man Newspapers’ Team of the week are making their seasonal debuts after impressing in Saturday’s three Premier League games.
Among the 2019-20 first-timers is goalkeeper Harry Horbury.
The youngster, who picked up last season’s coveted Golden Gloves award, lines up in the hypothetical XI for the first time this term after impressing for Douglas Royal against Peel on Saturday.
Horbury’s Royal team-mate Tom Chatel also lands a spot in the side for the first time this campaign, after the former St George’s forward bagged a quickfire brace during Royal’s 4-2 defeat out west.
Joining the Royal pair in making their debut are Peel’s Luke Doherty, St George’s Joey Quayle and Marown forward Harry Barton.
Doherty impressed at the back as the westerners picked up a sixth win of the campaign.
Quayle was one of Geordies’ stand-out players as the Glencrutchery Road outfit bounced back from the previos week’s shock reverse at the hands of Douglas Athletic to beat Ramsey 6-1.
The midfielder capped an energetic display with two goals to help his side’s Railway Cup qualification bid back onto an even keel.
Barton caught the eye for the Crosby side as they were beaten 5-1 at pacesetters St Mary’s.
The league leaders contribute three players to the 11th TotW line-up of the campaign, Frank Jones and Jack McVey securing their fifth and seventh TotW stripes of the season.
Jones netted a brace at the Bowl, while McVey capped another commanding midfield performance with his 11th strike of a fruitful season in front of goal.
St Mary’s defender Karl Clark also makes the line up for a third time this term after he impressed in the Saints’ defensive ranks.
Completing this week’s selection are St George’s duo Johnny Myers and Joey Morling plus Peel skipper Daniel Bell.
Myers scored a header and one from the penalty spot to take his tally for the season to seven as Geordies overcame Ramsey 6-1 at Glencrutchery Road.
Team-mate Joey Morling also impressed in that match, scoring a goal and having a hand in a couple more.
Bell was an influential presence in the westerners’ midfield ranks as Steve Falconer’s charges overcame Douglas Royal 4-2.
Claiming the Referee of the Week honours for the second successive week is Oliver Johnson.
He impressed with the whistle during St Mary’s win over Marown.
