Braddan’s march toward the JCK Division Two title continued on Wednesday evening with an 8-0 win over Douglas and District at Victoria Road.
The Swans are now only four points behind leaders Douglas Royal with three games in hand over their title rivals. The pair also meet on Saturday at Ballafletcher in Royal’s last game of the league campaign.
Andy Glover continued his bid to beat brother Stephen’s 62-goal Silver Boot haul remains on track after he scored four goals in the victory. Joining Glover on the scoresheet were Michael Hutton, Joe Andrews, Mark O’Neill and an own goal.
The win also ensured the Swans have qualified for the Paul Henry Gold Cup semi-finals alongside Royal. Foxdale look likely to join the pair with three games left to play. Onchan, who sit in fourth, and Castletown, who sit three points behind the Os, remain in contention for the final Cup spot.
Onchan have to play Braddan on Wednesday, while Town take on Pulrose on Saturday and Foxdale on Tuesday in their remaining games.
