Isle of Man FA’s senior men’s team will play Alderney and Norwegian island Hitra in the group stages of next June’s

inter-island competition in Anglesey.

The draw was made for both the men’s and women’s tournaments by current Welsh national team goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and assistant manager Osian Roberts on Tuesday evening.

The BOS-sponsored men’s team have avoided the hosts and fellow competition favourites Jersey and Guernsey. Shetland, Western Isles, Orkney and St Helena make up the other island competing in the men’s tournament that runs from June 15-22.

Brian Cowin’s Nedbank-sponsored women’s side will also travel to North Wales that week but, with only four other teams joining them in the shape of the hosts, Jersey, Western Isles and Hitra, they will play a round-robin format.
