The promotion race in JCK Division Two took another twist last night as Castletown beat Foxdale 2-0.
Goals from Ciaran Brown and Kiran Collister ensured Town won the contest that was switched to the Stadium with Billy Goat Park waterlogged.
The result keeps Town top of the standings by four points from Onchan who have played a game more.
Pulrose and Foxdale trail by a further couple of points but with games in hand on the sides above who were all sidelined by postponements.
Three games took place in the Canada Life Premier League. Peel warmed up for Saturday’s Hospital Cup showdown with St George’s by beating Colby 6-2 at Douglas Road.
The westerners had to come from behind after Danny Lane’s early strike gave the third-bottom southerners the lead.
Steve Falconer’s side, however, soon hit back thanks to goals from Lee Gale (2), Billy Kennaugh (2), Matthew Woods and Tom Wood which sealed Peel the three points.
Braddan remain in the bottom two after they lost 5-3 at the hands of Laxey.
