Isle of Man FA men’s team manager Paul Jones has confirmed his 20-man squad for this evening’s friendly with Derry City at the Bowl.

The former Rushen United coach is using the game against the League of Ireland side as part of the squad’s preparations for June’s inter-island tournament in Anglesey.

Thirteen of the FA squad that triumphed 2-0 over Wolves’ under-23s in October are set to feature against Declan Devine’s visitors who are in the island for a four-day training camp.

Douglas Athletic goalkeeper Matty Quirk retains his place in the squad after keeping a clean sheet against wolves’ second string.

Marown’s Ash Higginbotham also gets another chance to impress after featuring in the summer’s games against Welsh opponents Connah’s Quay and Bangor.

Derry, who won the Irish League Cup last year, are using the trip to gear up for their new season which begins on Friday, February 15 with a game against University College Dublin.

The Candystripers come into the game having won both their pre-season games so far against Drogheda United and Finn Harps and will provide a tough test.

kick-off is 7.30pm and tickets cost £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
