Onchan pipped Castletown to final spot in this season’s Paul Henry Gold Cup on Wednesday evening.

The Os caused something of an upset, inflicting only JCK Division Two title-chasing Braddan’s second defeat of the league season thanks to goals from Josh Brockbank and Kraig Marsh.

Onchan keeper Rob Slinger also saved a penalty for his side keeping his 11th clean sheet of the season in the process.

The 2-0 win sees David Rees’s side leapfrog Castletown into fourth the standings and means the Os join Foxdale, Braddan and Douglas Royal in Thursday evening’s draw for Saturday afternoon’s Gold Cup semi-finals.

Braddan have two games left against Foxdale and Gymns to secure the point they need to pip Royal to the second-tier crown.
