The Miners initially took the lead against Corinthians, but eventually went down 7-2 at the Whites who stay fourth.

Town secured a good 5-2 home win over DHSOB at the Stadium to move six points clear of Laxey.

On target for the Mets were skipper Alex Crawley, who netted a brace including a cracking volley in the first minute, Luca Simmons (2) and Jack Camarda.

Jack Townsend and a Lee Bass own goal made up the visitors’ reply.

St George’s remain in third spot in the standings after an 8-2 victory at Marown, while

Rushen United stay in fifth after a 3-0 win over Douglas Royal at Croit Lowey.

The day’s other top-flight game saw Douglas Athletic triumph 3-0 at St John’s to surpass their best ever Premier League points total.

In JCK Division Two, Pulrose United stay top after a thumping 17-0 win at bottom side Governor’s Athletic. On target in the rout at Bemahague were player-manager Ste Priestnal (6), Marc Priestnal (5), Dave Priestnal, Owen Canipa (3), Mark O’Neill and Kenny Cowin.

Malew move up into the second promotion spot after they made the long trip to Ayre United with a 3-1 in Andreas against a Tangerines’ side that finished with 10 men.

Foxdale are up to fourth after a big 9-1 win over Gymns, while Union Mills drew 2-2 win Onchan.

Douglas and District were the day’s other winners as four goals from Daniel Clague-Stewart helped them to a 5-2 victory over Michael United at Noble’s Park.

St Mary’s wrapped up the Canada Life Combination One title with a 7-1 win over Braddan.

The result means the Saints are 13 points clear of second place Peel with four games left to plat.
