The wet and windy weather put paid to much of Saturday’s Manx football schedule with only nine games being played.
Despite all the postponements, all four games that were meant to be played in the Canada Life Premier League went ahead.
Each of the day’s games were preceded by a minute’s applause in memory of Corinthians’ midfielder Fraser Vaughan who sadly died recently.
His old club Laxey returned to winning ways with a 3-2 win over second-bottom Marown at Glen Road.
Pulrose remain three points adrift of the Crosby side at the foot of the standings after they lost the Springfield Road derby 5-2 against Douglas Athletic.
St Mary’s stretched their lead at the head of standings to six points with a 3-1 win over Ramsey.
The Saints came from behind to beat the northerners, Matthew Montgomery giving the visitors the lead.St George's moved up into third with a 4-0 win over DHSOB.Joe Quayle bagged a hat-trick for the Saints, joining Ash Higginbotham on the scoresheet for the Glencrutchery Road outfit.
In the sole game to go ahead in JCK Division Two, Gymns triumphed 5-0 at Governor’s Athletic.
