The Sunset City side were 0-4 down at the break as Paul Whithead, who started the season with Peel, netted a hat-trick for the Johnners. Eric Kelly and Rhys Oates chipped in with Rick Holden’s charges’ other goals, Lee Gale pulling one back for the home side in the 66th minute.

Ste Glover and Marc Priestnal’s strikes for the hosts were cancelled out by goals from Kieran Krypner and ex-Pully forward Darren Flanagan. The latter was stretched off in the second half with a knee injury, while Pulrose also saw a penalty saved.
Foxdale moved to within five points of the top after they thrashed Ayre United 9-1. Dale, who have a couple of games in hand on their title rivals, racked up their big win thanks to four goals from Silver Boot leader Jay Chatwood and further strikes from Liam Cannan (2), Ste Kelly, Andrew Berry and Ricky Newsham.
